To use classrooms more efficiently, the Board of Education is considering changes at four elementary schools and one middle school for 2015-16 school year. Ballentine currently operates on a year-round calendar and is under-enrolled. Under a proposal being considered by the Board of Education Facilities Committee, the school would be converted to a traditional 10-month school calendar. The proposal will be discussed at the September 2 board meeting. A decision is expected by September 16. Details about each option can be found under the topic details tab below.
